iPad: What’s Next
2 sessions of 2.5 hours each
Students are encouraged to bring their charged iPad to class.
Prerequisite: iPad: Getting Started or comparable skills
You will learn to send and receive emails and text messages; and how to send and save photos using email and texts. The iPad keyboard will be explored using hints as to how to adapt it to your needs. You will also see how to save and send photos from your Photos App via emails and texts.
Lesson 1: Safari, Siri & Maps
In this class, we will explore Safari in great detail so that you can do a search on just about any topic of interest to you. You will learn how to bookmark, add a website to your home page, and close tabs. You will also learn how to avoid phishing scams. In addition, you will learn what an amazing feature Siri is, how to activate it, and how to use it. A review of the Map App is included.
Lesson 2: eBooks
In this final class, you will learn how to download and read eBooks from Apple books and Libby, the free library App. You will see that you can even turn your eBook into an audiobook! By the end of this class, you will wonder how you ever lived without your iPad.
