Files & Folders

Exploring Files and Folders with Windows 11

Canceled – watch for rescheduling in future semesters.

Tuesdays from 1 PM – 3:30 PM on Oct 8, 22, 29

3 sessions of 2.5 hours each / $35

Pre-requisite: PC Computing Basics 1 & 2 (previously named Introduction to Computers 1 & 2).

Managing files is one of the most important tasks for personal computer users. Simply stated, if you can’t locate a file, you can’t use it. You’ll learn how to create a filing system, how to create folders, and how to navigate through the filing system that you designed.

PC Computing Basics 1

PC Computing Basics 1

Tuesdays from 9:30 AM – 12 PM on Nov 5, 12, 19, 26

4 sessions of 2.5 hours each / $45

To begin this class, you need to know nothing about computers and simply have a desire to learn. Students will learn how to properly start and stop a Windows computer. From there we will teach and give you experience with the most used computer functions: using the mouse, keyboard, and desktop, word processing, accessing the Internet, creating and responding to emails, and how to use flash drives for performing classroom exercises. Prerequisite: none

Android Phone: Getting Started

Android Phone: Getting Started

Tuesdays from 9:30 AM – 12 PM on Dec 3, 10

2 sessions of 2.5 hours each / $25

Students should bring fully charged devices to class. They will also need their username and password for their phone.

The goal of this course is to enhance your experience in using your Android phone, demystify its workings and controls to make it an effective tool for you, and provide advice on how to effectively use its most popular features.  Give us a few hours and we can unlock the power of your Android Phone for you.
