Photoshop Elements: Photo Editing & Project Creating
5 sessions of 2.5 hours
This class is appropriate for Mac and PC users.
If you’re like most people, you have hundreds of pictures on your computer that need editing so you can use them in a project like a photo book or calendar. We will be using Photoshop ELEMENTS to learn editing techniques and how to produce special effects. Elements is a user-friendly version of the larger, more complex Photoshop and can teach you how to edit your photos in creative and interesting ways. This is a beginner’s class and is perfect for anyone who wants to learn how to take their photos to the next level.
Lesson 1
We will examine the Element’s workspace and some of the tools we will be using. We will begin to edit pictures: leveling, cropping, and enhancing.
Lesson 2
We will continue with ways to edit photos: effects, filters, adjusting facial features, the quick selection tool, and the clone tool. We will practice these tools TOGETHER!
Lesson 3
The importance of LAYERS will be discussed & practiced. We will use photos and graphics to make a “page” that can be used in a book, calendar, or other projects.
Lesson 4
We will work with text, talk about the “workflow”, and learn how to save your work.
Lesson 5
Finally, you will use your newly acquired skills to create a simple project. All photos and graphics will be provided by the teacher.
